Do Black Lives Really Matter?

Watching news from the U.S. makes one wonder why there is such police barbarism against its Black citizens. It seems that every week there is a new disturbing act of violence. Sadly, after the video of the murder of Laquan McDonald was finally released (the Chicago police tried to block), I felt compelled to create another composition with ‘La Rielera’.  In this new work, I include an image of Emmett Till, a 14 year old boy who was brutally murdered in 1955. His killers were acquitted… Not much has changed…
